Edgyllation
A laser-cut acrylic fruit bowl. Inspired by stars and constellations, the design compromises of a repetition of three shaped components that are repeated along a circle.
Early exploration of form was conducted with sketching then continued in Adobe Illustrator. Final design choices were then printed into paper and rearranged to form different iterations. Laser-cut files with the proper dimensions were then generated.
Upon receiving the cut acrylic, sanding and polishing were demonstrated to achieve a finished look. The piece was then heated to fit into a curved bowl shape.
